See all the cool things you can do this summer!

Learner uses one generative start to develop into a first draft of a longer piece of writing. Drafts are usually two or more pages long and strive to have a beginning, middle, and end, even if the writing is still rough.

Learner has the draft prepared in a notebook or folder and is ready for the revising phase. Instructor looks for key parts of a story, like character development, story arc, and setting. Learner submits notebook to instructor. Instructor checks for evidence of a completed rough draft.
